Description: A knife sheath embroidered with seed beads. The body is made of buffalo rawhide, which still retains the brown epidermis. The design is typically Cheyenne. The upper panel is executed on a separate piece of leather. The design of alternating fields is interpreted as “buffalo tracks.” The side panel is beaded directly into the rawhide. Everything is embroidered and sewn with genuine animal sinew. The sheath is finished with tinkling cones made of tin-plated sheet metal.
